Anna Gentilini was born in Austria in 1985 and spent her childhood in the beautiful Rosental.
​
She studied costume design and 2D animation at the University of the Arts London and film and the Griffith UniversityBrisbane. Over the years she has worked on film and theater productions in Vienna, Prague, Berlin and London.
​
Since 2018 she has been living in her hometown of Ferlach, in sunny Carinthia. There she runs the city library and works as a freelance illustrator, author and costume designer.
​
Her first children's book Home Sweet Home won the 2021
Carinthian Children's Book Prize.
